Phase 2 of the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) First Coast Expressway project (FCE) is underway and expected to be delivered in mid-2025. Back in March, crews from Sacyr Construction USA LLC first began working on the north segment of the job, a $229 million contract that is being funded by the Florida Turnpike Enterprise.

Ring Power is now the exclusive dealer of Weiler commercial paving products for north and central Florida. Since 2008, Ring Power has been a Weiler dealer of windrow elevators, road wideners, static double drum rollers, front mount screeds and soil stabilizers.

The best-of-the-best heavy equipment operators in central and north Florida descended on Ring Power CAT for a two-day operator challenge June 19 and 20 at the company's Tampa, Fla., location. On both days, the overall challenge event provided friendly competition among operators from various construction companies, opportunities to see and operate the newest Caterpillar products, win some great prizes and enjoy a catered barbeque lunch with representatives of Ring Power and Caterpillar.

At the Ring Power Board of Directors meeting April 16, Chris Zeras was named senior vice president, New Sales - Heavy Equipment Division and elected to the Ring Power Board of Directors. In addition to Zeras' appointment to the Board, the following were appointed new officers at the April meeting: In his 21 years with Ring Power, Zeras has worked as a sales coordinator and account manager for the Cat Rental Store, and as a heavy equipment salesperson.

Ring Power Corporation announced Jan. 24 the appointment of David Alban as president. Alban will assume day-to-day leadership of the company, while Randal L. Ringhaver will remain chairman and chief executive officer. "Ring Power is fortunate to have a strong, young group of leaders prepared to position the company to keep pace with the ever-changing business climate and rapidly evolving technology, today and into the future," said Ringhaver.

Ring Power Corporation and Thunder Creek Equipment have reached an agreement that will make the heavy equipment dealer an official distributor of Thunder Creek's products for the construction industry in 44 counties throughout north and central Florida.

At its January meeting, Ring Power Corporation's Board of Directors appointed Hubert Norris to the Board and promoted him to senior vice president, director of Parts Operations. Norris began his career with Ring Power in 1995 as a manager trainee at the Tallahassee, Fla.

Ring Power and Company Wrench have signed a partnership agreement that will position both companies to better serve the scrap and demolition markets in Florida. Company Wrench is an Ohio-based company that manufactures, sells and rents equipment at nine facilities throughout the U.S., including one in Lakeland, Fl.
